Ron Paul: Israel Created Hamas, Pro-Israel Resolution A Mistake
Talk about speaking truth to power.
On the House floor Ron Paul had the guts to point out that Israel helped to create Hamas. But he didn’t stop there — he mentioned the criminally under-reported fact that Osama Bin Laden was an ally of the U.S. in the 1980’s (so was Saddam Hussein) which also hints — to the perceptive — at the probable CIA involvement in the creation of Al-Qaeda.
Wow. For the sake of Dr. Paul’s safety it’s a good thing he did not become president.

“Waterboarding is inhumane, it is torture, and it is illegal,” say Retired JAGs in letter to Leahy
The pending confirmation of Michael Mukasey to the position of Attorney General, now destined to go to the full Senate, thanks to Lieber-moves of Shumer and Feinstein, is troublesome to more than just we in the progressive community. Senator Patrick Leahy received this letter (.pdf) from four retired JAGs, who understand that the concept of “Rule of Law” must mean something, even with Bushies in charge.

Torture or “CIA Sponsored Swim Lesson?”
This is funny, only because of the completely ridiculous nature of what Bush is doing.
