Salt Lake Mayor Debates Fox News

With the exception of clips like this, more than a few minutes of the Faux News makes me ill so I never watch it. (I am opposed to torture… ) On top of the nauseating propaganda spewed by arrogant/ignorant hosts what’s up with their color scheme?

Anyway, you gotta love the honesty and courage of Salt Lake City Mayor Rocky Anderson as he is questioned by the Fox thugs about his opposition to the war and to Bush in general:

  1. Thank you Rocky Anderson, it definitely is a “moral imperative” to speak the truth, most leaders have forgotten that, and instead think elected officials are only supposed to grovel to their superiors.

“…But Mr. Mayor (interrupting yet again) isn’t it your job to bow before the imperial leader when he graces your state with his prescence?”

Faux….will you never cease in your shameful attempts to mislead the American people?

I would redirect anyone interested to a previous article on this blog that outlines the infamous “torture memos” and the role the Bush adminstration played in Redefining Torture.

  2. Here’s a clip of the protest in SLC with part of Anderson’s speech. More info about it here.
